I’m the Professor. Update 5 Part 5 was another quiet week, but the /locate command alone was an absolute godsend!
📌 Key Points
- A new builder tool that merges Extrude and Flood
- Captured animals now show as icons in your inventory
- Fish bait gets a new look
- /locate to find and teleport to biomes and zones
New Builder Tool
The builder tools Extrude and Flood have been merged into a new tool. Switch to fill mode with the R key and it fills gaps while smartly reading the space around it. Low-key very useful!
Animals & Fishing
- Captured animals now appear as icons in their inventory slot. Catch a bunch and your inventory gets pretty lively
Fish Bait (Wild)‘s appearance has changed. Use it in a trap and you might get some good materials
The Godly Command: /locate
Personally, this was my favorite part. A new command, /locate, has been added.
- After /locate, enter the biome or zone you want to visit
- Use Tab and Space to pick from the suggestions
- Finally, use TP (teleport) to warp there instantly
If you get lost, the spawn command takes you back to your spawn point, so if you’re getting bored of the same scenery, treat it like a vacation and go visit all sorts of places!
Update 5 Is Pretty Buggy
There are some small bug fixes again this time, but resized NPCs still freeze and inventory items display strangely, so Update 5 has quite a few bugs. The weekly changes sometimes break servers too, so server owners have been pretty vocal about it. That’s early access for you.
/locate is an explorer’s best friend. But some destinations have tough enemies, so gear up properly before you set off on your trip!
