The Professor
I’m the Professor. About two weeks into Early Access, the second update has arrived! This one is mainly about stability, with enemy nerfs and bug fixes, but there are also a few changes you’ll notice right away while playing.
📌 Key Points
- Pickaxe material tier now affects mining speed (Adamantite requires Thorium or better)
- A godsend fix: digging up Eternal seeds returns them as seeds
- A grimoire that summons skeleton soldiers
- Equipment appearance can be toggled on/off
- New pastel cloth blocks
Pickaxe Material Now Affects Mining Speed
Pickaxes now mine at different speeds depending on their material tier. The rarer the material, the more efficient the pickaxe.
On top of that, Adamantite can only be mined with a 
Thorium Pickaxe or better. The “just rush the best ore” shortcut is gone, so upgrade your gear step by step. For ore locations, check out the ore location guide.
Eternal Seeds No Longer Break by Accident
Eternal seeds planted in your farm now return to you as seeds even if you dig them up by mistake. No more wrecking your crops while swinging a weapon around. A small change, but a real godsend! I’m talking about seeds like the 
Corn Seed Bag (Eternal).
Summon Skeleton Soldiers with a Grimoire
The new 
Grimoire: Rekindle Embers is now usable. Combine it with a Pile of Bones to summon skeleton soldiers that fight alongside you. KeniPoyo calls it “the forbidden book of necromancy.”
In the video he took on a golem, but his summoned skeletons were wiped out in no time… Bringing big numbers seems to be the key.
Cosmetic Additions
- New costumes: including some bolder designs, like a blindfold outfit
- Equipment appearance on/off: just click the eye icon on a piece of gear to hide only its look while keeping its stats. Now you can fight in whatever outfit you like!
Building: Pastel Cloth Blocks
Soft-toned pastel cloth blocks have been added. They’re perfect for decorating rooms and make your base feel lived-in in no time.
Other Changes
- Some enemies were nerfed
- Minor bug fixes
Not the flashiest update, but a solid one that genuinely makes the game more pleasant to play. The Eternal seed fix in particular is a blessing for anyone running a farm.
