Hi! I’m KeniPoyo, the only person in Japan playing Hytale. Today I’m going through what Simon, the founder of Hypixel Studios, said this week.
This week Simon didn’t make a single post of his own. It was almost all replies and quotes, so this roundup is a light one. I picked out the parts that say something about where Hytale is going. All dates are Japan time.

1. The Game Will Feel Quite Different After Chapter 4 | Oct 29
A fan asked whether waiting for Chapter 4 is still the recommendation, adding that Chapter 2 sounds interesting if focusing on progression includes itemization.
Simon answered that it depends on what you are looking forward to, and that there are big milestones to hit, like new crafting, itemization, world gen 2 and much more. The game will feel quite different for sure after Chapter 4.
Last week he said there is more than one update before Chapter 2, and this week he says the game will feel quite different after Chapter 4. So at least we know the plan runs through Chapter 4. The explanation he promised for within a few days last week didn’t show up in his posts this week.
KeniPoyo’s note It looks like Hytale is in it for a long road. As long as each step brings something new to play, I can wait.
2. World Gen V2 and Clouds | Oct 30
A fan posted that Hytale World Gen V2 is just so beautiful, and Simon replied.
He said he is glad he made the decision to let the team release the world gen v2 content, because people will start to see what he’s been hyping the game about. He also said to wait until you see the volumetric clouds and other rendering tricks coming up, which will make this x10.
Someone commented that they would do it 10x if needed and that others are not ready. Simon answered: IF ONLY THEY KNEW. He is clearly holding something back.
One fan worried that volumetric clouds would feel too soft compared with hand-painted clouds. Simon replied that artists are heavily involved in the process of clouds, so you will get the best of both worlds.
KeniPoyo’s note A new world generation is already exciting, and there are still rendering upgrades coming. I can’t wait to see the clouds.
3. Asked for a Spoiler | Oct 30
When a fan asked the spoiler man for a spoiler, Simon said: game will be great, that is my spoiler.

4. The Costume Contest and Runeteria | Oct 30 to Oct 31
The community held a Hytale costume contest and 100 players joined online. Simon replied amazing to the winner’s post, and to the contest photos he said that’s so cool and that they need to add more cosmetics now.
Also, the Runeteria server released a Professions and Classes update with an in-game cinematic. Simon quoted it and said Runeteria are doing crazy stuff in Hytale. It ties in nicely with last week’s line about the ecosystem in 5+ years.
KeniPoyo’s note The harder server builders work, the wider Hytale gets. Getting a shoutout from the founder must feel great.
The rest was short banter, like a bruh reply to a spectacular death in the $15,000 challenge.

It was a quiet week. Still, the name Chapter 4 coming up and the rendering upgrades waiting behind world gen v2 were real hints about the future.
