Hi! I’m KeniPoyo, the only person in Japan playing Hytale. Today I want to show you nyoCards, a mod that lets you play UNO right inside Hytale.
I showed it off in a short video too. You sit around a table in your world and play real rounds of UNO with your friends. It’s a great way to take a break on a server, so here’s how it works.

What is nyoCards?
nyoCards adds card games to Hytale. The fun part is that any block can become a table. When you sit down, your hand shows up on screen, and every card you play flies onto the table where everyone nearby can see it. It really feels like playing around a real table.
Craft a deck first
To play, you need a card deck. Craft it at the Workbench from 8 Plant Fibre and 1 tree log. These are early-game materials, so you can make one right away.
The deck belongs to you and is never used up. Only the player who opens the table needs one.
Open a table
Hold the deck and click the block you want to use as a table. The New table screen opens. Pick the game, the number of players and the rules, then press Open table.
UNO supports 2 to 8 players. One block holds up to 4 seats, and placing the same block side by side makes a bigger table with up to 8 seats.
Join with the F key
Other players just press F at the table to join. Your seat is the side of the table you’re standing on. Once every seat is filled, the match starts on its own after a few seconds.
Put chairs or benches around the table and players will actually sit on them while they play.
Short on players? Add bots
No friends online? No problem. /cards bot fills the empty seats with bots. They follow the same rules and take a moment to think before playing. By default, only admins can add bots.

The bottom of the screen always shows which keys you can use right now, and cards you can’t play are skipped automatically.
When it’s your turn, a big banner tells you. The timer is at the top and the current card and color are in the top right, so you always know what’s going on. And if you forget to call UNO!, the other players can catch you.

The mod comes in English and Portuguese, and you can add more languages with a translation file.

I never thought I’d be playing UNO in Hytale. Gathering around a table for a few rounds between adventures and building is just great. More games are planned, so this is a mod to keep an eye on. If you run a server, give it a try!
