I’m the Professor. The big stories this time are voice chat finally arriving and the dawn of the potion era.

Voice Chat Is Here
You can now use in-game voice chat via Audio → Voice in the settings. The fun part is that what you hear changes with distance and surroundings. Players far away can’t be heard, while those nearby can.
Apparently servers can customize how voice carries, so expect to see more event servers running Werewolf-style social deduction games in the future.
New Hairstyles
A whole bunch of new hairstyles were added, many of them afros. You can really feel the dev team’s passion for the afro!
Potion Farming Ushers in the Potion Era
Just two days earlier, KeniPoyo said in a video that “the potion bench costs too much to build, so it’s kind of meh,” but this update changes everything.
- At the
Alchemist’s Workbench, craft a 
Crystal Fertilizer Bag (crystal fertilizer) - Spread the fertilizer on dirt and the dirt crystallizes
- Plant seeds made at the potion bench in the crystallized dirt
- Harvest plants used as potion ingredients
In other words, potion farming can now be done entirely through the potion bench. Crystal fertilizer takes 50 crystal shards, but don’t worry: once dirt is crystallized, it stays that way and can be reused forever.
Farmer’s Workbench Changes
- Added the Copper Sickle and Silver Sickle (the difference is durability)
- The Farmer’s Workbench max tier changed from 10 to 8. If you’re leveling it up now, stop at 8
Other Changes
- You can now craft blocks from Gold Ingots
- Golems now drop gems like Sapphires and Rubies when defeated. No more hunting for them; they’re fairly easy to get wherever golems spawn (e.g.
Earthen Golem) - Added fireflies (they come out at night)
- Slight changes to the prefab folder structure (modding-related)
- Bug fixes and texture changes
Being able to mass-produce potions at home is a big deal. Crystal fertilizer is permanent once applied, so I recommend preparing some early.
