I’m the Professor. The star of Update 6 Part 12 is the “MOD Browser,” which lets you find and download mods right inside the game.

The MOD Browser
A MOD Browser has been added to the menu. Until now, the usual way was to hunt for mods on external sites and download them there, but now it can all be done in-game. Mods are listed by featured, popular and recently updated, and they’re all free.
That said, it’s still a work in progress: some types of mods can’t be downloaded yet, and prefab-style mods sometimes still need you to open the folder and tweak things before they show up. KeniPoyo is excited, saying “this marketplace is going to take off.”
Select Up to 16 Million Blocks
The selection tool’s range has been expanded to a maximum of 16 million blocks. It’s probably meant to let you copy and paste entire villages or towns, though I suspect your PC will freeze long before you hit 16 million.
Alongside that, the file format for saving large builds has been updated and files are now smaller. Copying, pasting and saving are faster too, and undo/redo memory efficiency has been improved.
The Ancient Gateway Can Now Be Closed
The Ancient Gateway now has a button to close its portal. As a safety feature, it can’t be closed while someone is on the other side. The item that opens the gateway is still only obtainable in Creative, so a new adventure feature built around it might be on the way soon.
The MOD Browser makes trying out mods so much easier. If a mod catches your eye, back up your world first, then give it a go!
