I’m the Professor. Update 6 Part 2 is a bug-fix bonanza. There’s almost nothing flashy for regular players, but read the patch notes and you’ll find plenty of fixes that make playing a lot nicer.

Fixes That Affect Everyday Play
- Fixed livestock not breeding or producing properly
- Fixed crafted items being usable as ingredients to duplicate themselves
- Fixed chests disappearing when merged while open
- Fixed no death marker appearing on the map when you die far from your spawn point
- Fixed rolling not negating fall damage
- Sprinting now continues after a slide
- Fixed always facing north after teleporting from the world map
- Fixed variant NPCs in dungeons not giving the correct Memories
- Fixed some controller settings resetting on restart
New Additions
- Wilderness tracking system: uses the player’s bed location as a reference to classify each area of the world as either “near home” or “wilderness”
- New death effects for some NPCs
- A new template for flying enemies with ranged attacks
- A mechanic for explosive blocks
- Sound effects for walking on fallen branches, cacti, breaking treasure chests and more
- The in-game bug report form now supports video attachments
UI & Stability
- Improvements to the server browser menu (server addresses hidden by default, scrollable descriptions, etc.)
- Fixes for the friends list and social sidebar (lists over 500 people now load)
- Fixed an F11 fullscreen toggle loop
- Numerous crash and memory leak fixes
For Modders & Creators
There are also plenty of changes for creators: new World Generation V2 systems, a texture atlas API, crash fixes for the trigger volume tool, improved previews in the Asset Editor, and more.
KeniPoyo summed it up as “nothing for regular players!”, but the livestock breeding fix and death markers are quietly great. Patch notes are always worth a read.
