I’m the Professor. Update 6 Part 7 adds gyro aiming for controllers. On top of that, it quietly slips in some guns and a bow that can zoom.
📌 Key points
- Gyro controls for controllers
- Toggle ON/OFF and adjust sensitivity under Gamepad in the settings
- 3 weapons with zoom added (developer items)
- Get them with the /give command
Gyro Controls Are Here
Gyro controls are now supported: tilt your controller and the camera moves in that direction. It feels a lot like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, letting you aim bows and guns intuitively.
You can toggle it ON/OFF and adjust sensitivity under “Gamepad” in the settings.
3 New Weapons with Zoom
Three zoomable weapons were added as developer items. They’re not in the normal inventory, so if you want to try them, type /give followed by the item ID.
| Item ID | Features |
|---|---|
Weapon_Test_Sniper_Rifle |
Sniper rifle with fixed magnification. Shows a scope overlay and forces first-person view |
Weapon_Test_Zoom_Rifle |
3-stage variable zoom. The reticle changes at each stage |
Weapon_Shortbow_Test_Zoom |
Stays zoomed in while you hold the bow drawn |
Example: /give Weapon_Test_Zoom_Rifle
The MOD Academy series on KeniPoyo’s channel (in Japanese) also shows how to mod these guns into practical weapons. They pair really well with gyro aiming, so once guns are properly added to the game, PvP could get pretty exciting.
Shouldering a zoom rifle with gyro aiming makes lining up shots a whole new level of fun. If you’ve got a controller, give it a try!
