Hytale Update 7 Parts 2 & 3: Boom Barrels, Memories & /kit Changes

アップデート7 パート2&3まとめ|ゴブリンの爆発樽が使えるように・メモリーの仕様変更・/kitの中身変更

I’m the Professor. Last week (Part 2) didn’t bring any big changes, so this time I’m covering Parts 2 and 3 together. The star of the show is without a doubt the Goblin Boom Barrel.

📌 Key points

  • Some enemies are only recorded in your Memories once you defeat them
  • The healing items in /kit are now tier-appropriate food + healing potions
  • Goblin Burner nerfed
  • The Feastmaster gets animations for swimming, flying and more
  • Boom Barrels can now be picked up, placed, carried and thrown

Memories Change

Until now, once you unlocked the Memories feature at the Forgotten Temple, every NPC you met got recorded automatically. Starting with this update, some enemies can only be recorded after you defeat them. That’s one extra step before you get your rewards.

Collecting Memories earns you rewards such as being able to place more Teleporters.

/kit Command Contents Changed

/kit iron and /kit adamantite are handy commands that instantly give you a full set of iron or adamantite gear. This time, the healing items in those kits changed from bread and berries to tier-appropriate food + healing potions.

Goblin Changes

  • Goblin Burner Goblin Burner has been nerfed. In Part 1 this little terror would relentlessly chase you down with its flamethrower, but it’s calmed down a bit and now leaves openings in its attacks
  • The goblin boss Goblin Feastmaster Feastmaster got new animations for climbing, swimming, diving, flying and more. KeniPoyo even built a 25-meter pool just to watch that huge body swim

Rune System

The runes, the headline feature of Update 7, quietly got a new design. Also, Part 1 had a bug that stopped battleaxes from using Ground Slam, and that’s now fixed. Big weapons can shoot fireballs too, which makes them pretty handy.

Blowing Up a Building with Goblin Boom Barrels

Personally, this was my favorite change. The Goblin Boom Barrel Goblin Boom Barrel used to be an item you just didn’t touch: you couldn’t pick it up or throw it, and it even bugged out your inventory. That’s been fixed, and now you can pick it up, place it, carry it and throw it.

I tried blowing up a building right away. The barrels do a fair bit of damage, but not enough to destroy a building. So I modded the Boom Barrel in the Asset Editor and tried again… you’ll have to watch the video to see what happened!

🧪
Professor’s note
Boom Barrels look like they’ll come in handy for raiding goblin camps. And since more enemies now need to be defeated before they’re recorded in your Memories, give them a fight whenever you see them!
