I’m the Professor. At long last, the age of magic has come to Hytale! Update 7 Part 1 brings an early slice of the big content planned for Chapter 1.

Rune Magic Arrives
This is the headline feature. Equip a rune and you can now unleash 
Fireball and other magic attacks. There are others too, such as 
Ground Slam and 
Wind Strike.
You’ll find every rune and its stats in the Rune Database, and which runes to learn first in our rune magic recommendations.
6 New Goblins
Six new goblin types have been added. The 
Goblin Burner in particular is seriously tough. It chases you relentlessly and blasts you with its flamethrower, so if two show up at once, you’re done for. (It was toned down a bit later in Parts 2 and 3.)

Goblin Lobber, 
Goblin Scrapper and

Magic at last! I recommend starting by flinging a few Fireballs. Just don’t get too close to a Goblin Burner.
