The Professor here. Today is all about Adamantite!
Adamantite is the best metal you can actually obtain in the current version. Mithril and Onyxium gear exists in the game data, but their ores don’t spawn in the world yet, so Adamantite is the real endgame tier in survival.
And since Chapter 1 added bosses, picking a weapon isn’t just about raw damage anymore. What matters is whether you can keep landing hits while dodging boss attacks.
TL;DR: my first Adamantite weapon is the Daggers
π The Professor’s first-pick ranking
- Adamantite Daggers: speed and mobility change how boss fights feel
- Adamantite Mace: Ground Slam hits for 146, one of the biggest single hits
- Adamantite Longsword: only 6 ingots and 48 per swing, but just 150 durability
That’s just my taste, though. Which one do you think is the best? Vote below!

All 8 Adamantite weapons compared
| Weapon | Basic hit | Big move | Ingots | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adamantite Daggers | 9 | Pounce thrust 61 / Razorstrike 58 | 9 | 500 |
| Adamantite Sword | 14 | Vortexstrike thrust 87 | 11 | 500 |
| Adamantite Longsword | 48 | Charged thrust 144 | 6 | 150 |
| Adamantite Mace | 45 | Ground Slam 146 | 16 | 500 |
| Adamantite Battleaxe | 58 | Signature: Whirlwind (AoE) | 16 | 500 |
| Adamantite Axe | 52 | Charged swing 104 | 4 | 150 |
| Adamantite Club Not in game | 52 | Charged overhead 104 | 4 | 150 |
| Adamantite Shortbow | 29 | Signature: Volley 22 | 11 | 500 |
“Basic hit” is the weapon’s simplest swing, and “Big move” is its highest-damage attack. “Ingots” is how many Adamantite Ingots the recipe needs. Every weapon except the Club is crafted at the Weapon Workbench, plus Heavy Leather and Cindercloth Scraps. The Club‘s only recipe is at the Armory, which is not in the game yet, so it can’t be crafted right now (and it’s left out of the vote).
Why the Daggers shine against the Gobliterator
At 9 damage per hit, the Daggers look like the weakest option on paper. But after actually fighting the Gobliterator, I changed my mind.
- Fast attacks: you can slip hits into every opening after the boss’s big moves
- Pounce closes the gap: the pounce thrust deals 61 and gets you right back on the boss
- Razorstrike keeps you moving: a 3-part combo up to 58 that lets you attack without standing still, making slams and missiles easier to dodge
- 500 durability: lasts through long boss fights
Heavy weapons hit hard, but you’re more likely to get hit mid-swing. The weapon that keeps hitting is the strongest: that’s my Chapter 1 lesson.
Adamantite armor
| Piece | Physical / Projectile resist | Max health | Ingots |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adamantite Chestplate | 14.4% | +24 | 28 |
| Adamantite Leggings | 11.2% | +19 | 22 |
| Adamantite Helmet | 8% | +14 | 15 |
| Adamantite Gauntlets | 6.4% | +11 | 12 |
| Full set | 40% | +68 | 77 |
The full set gives 40% physical and projectile damage reduction and +68 max health, a clear step up from Cobalt and Thorium armor (32%, +61). It also costs 77 ingots in total, so be ready to mine a lot.
How to get Adamantite
- Find Adamantite Ore in the magma rock of Zone 4
- You need at least a Thorium or Cobalt Pickaxe to mine it
- Smelt it into Adamantite Ingots at a Furnace
When looking for Adamantite Ore, open your map, zoom in and head for the red areas. Around those red (magma) zones you’ll find quite a lot of it.
You’ll be mining near magma, so watch your step. See also the ore guide and the best weapons ranking.
