The Professor here. Goblin Breaches are full of scrap piles and pots. Today I’m covering what drops when you break them.
Short answer: go for the Shiny Scrap Pile. It has a 33% chance to drop a Runestone Shard.
The short version
- Shiny Scrap Pile: 33% Runestone Shard and a guaranteed Dubious Assembly. The best one
- Stack of Goblin Iron Bars: 1–2 Iron Ingots, guaranteed
- Goblin Loot Pot: guaranteed Scraps, 5% Scrap Club
- Regular scrap piles only drop Scraps 20% of the time, so just break them in passing

- 5–15 Scraps and a Dubious Assembly are guaranteed. Assemblies go into gadgets like Rocket Boots and the Hookshot
- Runestone Shard at 33%, so roughly one every three piles
- Enkindled Sigil and Bundled Treasure share one roll: 5% each, 90% nothing

Runestone Shards are the key material for rune magic. If you are just a few short, hunting Shiny Scrap Piles is a good option. For bosses, the Revenant Guardian and the Void Fiend each drop 2 guaranteed.

Break it for 1–2 ready-made Iron Ingots, no smelting needed. The regular Stack of Iron Bars drops the same.

The most common junk. Easy to break with any weapon, but Scraps only drop about 1 in 5 times.
